The United States And Iran Have Reached A Peace Deal Declaring The Immediate And Permanent Termination Of Military Operations On All Fronts With President Trump Authorising The Removal Of The US Naval Blockade Of The Strait Of Hormuz And A Formal Signing Ceremony Scheduled For Friday June 19 In Switzerland

Trump Posted On Truth Social That The Deal Is “Now Complete” And Wrote “Ships Of The World, Start Your Engines. Let The Oil Flow!” While Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Said Pre-Implementation Discussions Would Begin This Week Before The Official Signing In Geneva

According to CBS News, the United States and Iran have reached a deal that declares “the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts,” President Trump and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced Sunday June 14.

In a statement posted to Truth Social, President Trump declared that the deal with Iran “is now complete.” “Congratulations to all! I hereby fully authorize the toll free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade,” Trump wrote. “Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow!”

The two sides are expected to meet for a signing ceremony on Friday June 19 in Switzerland, Sharif said. Details of the agreement have not been released, but the deal includes the end of military operations in Lebanon, according to Sharif. “With the agreement now in place, mediators will facilitate a series of meetings this week,” the prime minister said. “These pre-implementation discussions will lay the foundation for the technical talks and the official signing ceremony.”

Iranian officials did not immediately comment on the announcement, and it was unclear if Israel had agreed to cease its military operations in Lebanon.

The deal ends a conflict that began February 28, 2026, shuttered the Strait of Hormuz for 107 days, killed thousands, struck multiple US military installations, triggered record oil prices, and reshaped the geopolitical balance of the Middle East. Pakistan’s mediation through the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding produced the most consequential diplomatic outcome of 2026.
