According to IGN, TCL’s 2026 television lineup makes a compelling case that competitive PC gaming no longer requires a desk, addressing the long-standing trade-off between a monitor’s responsiveness and a TV’s cinematic scale.
The flagship QM8L series is the headliner. It features a QD Mini-LED panel with four full HDMI 2.1 ports; each capable of 4K at 144Hz and drops to 1080p at 288Hz for players who prioritise frame rate over resolution in competitive titles. AMD FreeSync Premium Pro eliminates screen tearing across that entire VRR range. Input lag in Game Mode reaches sub-millisecond levels comparable to dedicated gaming monitors. TCL’s AI Picture Quality Pro processor dynamically adjusts brightness, contrast, colour and local dimming zones based on content.
Below the flagship, the QM6K offers the same native 144Hz Mini-LED panel with QD colour, Game Accelerator 288, and two HDMI 2.1 ports starting from $749.99. The A300W brings QLED 144Hz with HDMI 2.1 and Google TV to a more accessible price point. All three models include ALLM, Dolby Vision Gaming and Dolby Atmos.
The gap between a gaming monitor and a gaming TV has never been smaller. TCL’s 2026 range is the strongest argument yet that the couch is a legitimate competitive gaming setup.
