V12 Roadster Built Around Re-Engineered 5.7-Litre Engine, Carbon-Reinforced Chassis, Semi-Active Dampers And Brembo Brakes Developed By Former Lamborghini CTO Maurizio Reggiani. Quail Debut August 14
According to Motor1, Italian coachbuilder Eccentrica has unveiled the V12 Roadster; an open-top evolution of its Lamborghini Diablo restomod ahead of its public debut at The Quail during Monterey Car Week on August 14, 2026. Only 19 examples will be built, with each individually configured for its owner.
The heart of the car is a re-engineered 5.7-litre naturally aspirated V12 producing 550 horsepower at 7,000rpm and 443 pound-feet of torque, routed through a six-speed gated manual transmission. Eccentrica claims a 0-62mph time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 208mph, with three driving modes and a kerb weight of 3,395 pounds.
Removing the roof required dedicated aerodynamic study and carbon-fibre structural reinforcements to compensate. The body combines steel and carbon fibre, retaining the unmistakable Diablo proportions while incorporating a widened track, revised suspension geometry, semi-active dampers, hydraulic steering and modern Brembo brakes. The interior features Connolly leather, Alcantara and exposed carbon fibre. Over 3,500 bespoke components are developed for each car.
Development was led by Maurizio Reggiani, former Lamborghini CTO responsible for the Murciélago, Gallardo, Aventador and Huracán. “No roof. No filter. Nothing between you and the machine,” said founder Emanuel Colombini.
A naturally aspirated V12. A gated manual. No roof. Nineteen cars. The 1990s called, and this is better.
