The Gulf nation was also recognised as one of the ten most improved markets worldwide in this cycle; a milestone reflecting sustained reform efforts across the sector.
The improvement is largely attributed to Qatar’s Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Aqarat, which has prioritised regulatory development, data availability, and the creation of a more efficient real estate ecosystem. These initiatives are designed to strengthen investor confidence and position Qatar as a competitive destination for international capital.
The GRETI, published by global real estate advisory firm JLL, benchmarks risk, transparency, and data accessibility across markets. A stronger ranking signals to institutional investors and financial institutions that Qatar’s market is becoming more navigable and reliable.
With the country’s long-term economic diversification agenda continuing to drive infrastructure investment and urban development, further progress in transparency rankings is expected in the years ahead.
