Oil Tanker Carrying Crude Oil For Pakistan Has Successfully Passed Through The Strait Of Hormuz In A Risky Manoeuvre By Hugging Iran Coast As Shipping Continues To Be Tracked Live
The Pakistan-flagged Aframax carrying crude oil successfully made past the Strait of Hormuz through its ‘unconventional’ tactic. By staying as close as possible to the Iran Coast, it successfully made past the Strait of Hormuz and was reported by Bloomberg on Monday March 16 2026 that the ship was located in waters off Oman’s Sohar now heading towards Pakistan.
This is the first time the Strait of Hormuz has been used for Pakistan after Port Qasim Authority (PQA) confirmed last week that it had acquired alternate fuel supply routes. Comments by experts and authorities are yet to be made following the ship’s brave but otherwise highly risky manoeuvre.
