According to Dawn News, the 24 Karat Gold price fell on Monday as per tola price decreased further by Rs 43,000. This was after the metal logged its biggest weekly loss in about 43 years last week. The inflation coupled with fears of rising interest rates caused it to decline massively since the beginning of March.
It can also be noted that this precious metal has dropped more than 10% since last week. This is the steepest weekly loss ever recorded since February of 1983. It has also retreated about 25% from its record peak of $5,594.82 an ounce reached on January 29 in the international markets.
Furthermore, for additional information, US gold futures for April delivery dropped further by 8.1% to $4,205.10.
