Artemis II Moon Mission Experiences Initial Success As 4 Astronauts Have Been Safely Launched Into Space To A Trip Around The Moon Beyond Low-Earth Orbit
According to Al Jazeera, Artemis II Moon Mission has been successfully launched from Florida, United States. This mission is set to take 4 astronauts to a trip beyond the low-Earth orbit in which the journey will be around the moon. This Moon Mission will, however, NOT oversee the humans stepping foot on the Moon for the first time since July 20, 1969.
The famous ‘setting foot on the Moon’ will take place again in 2028 under Artemis IV Moon Mission. The Artemis II Moon Mission includes NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch, and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen. Christina Koch is also set to become the first woman in the world to go beyond low-Earth orbit.
The journey around the Moon and back will take 10 days approximately.
