Fiat Unveils Multiplay Concept at Paris 2026 A Shape-Shifting Family Vehicle Designed to Leave the Multipla’s Legacy Behind
Fiat has unveiled the Multiplay concept at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, and it is about as far from the infamous Multipla as a car can get. Auto Evolution
Revealed during Stellantis’ Night Before event alongside the new Grizzly SUVs, the Multiplay measures 4.45 metres in length and can reconfigure itself between three body styles at the push of a button.
In minivan form it seats six passengers across three rows. Activate pickup mode and the “Metamorfosi” C-pillar slides the rear roof module forward along integrated guides, revealing an open bed suited to bikes, surfboards, and outdoor gear, the rear spoiler rotates automatically to double as a bike rack.
Inside, Fiat has packed genuinely clever ideas. The Petsenger Seat is a modular dog seat whose outer section detaches to serve as a leash, with a door compartment holding a folding bowl. The Sunseat converts the dashboard into a backrest, forming a chaise longue beneath the panoramic roof designed for remote workers and commuters who want to reclaim downtime.
Fiat describes the Multiplay as a “laboratory of ideas” rather than a direct production preview, though features from it are expected to appear on future models. No powertrain specs or pricing have been announced.
