The Rise of the Blood Moon: Total Lunar Eclipse Occurred in North America

The Rise of the Blood Moon: Last Total Lunar Eclipse was visible today in North America.

According to Space.com, a final Total Lunar Eclipse was visible today in North America giving the rise of the ‘Blood Moon’. It is considered to be the final total lunar eclipse for the coming few years.

For simple understanding, the Total Lunar Eclipse occurs when the Sun casts Earth’s shadow onto the Moon. The Earth has to be perfectly in the middle and as the Sun’s rays hit the Earth’s surface, a shadow is formed behind where the Moon is located. A total eclipsing of the shadow over the full Moon is called the Total Lunar Eclipse.
