According to Business Times, it was reported by Axios that on April 6th, 2026, the Iran, US, and regional Gulf and Middle Eastern mediators have multilaterally pushed for a 45-day ceasefire. All parties hope that in those days, conclusive negotiations can be reached resulting in the end of the war in the Middle East.

Moreover, stocks and crude oil have shown positive signs. In Asia alone, the Benchmark stock indexes in Japan and South Korea both gained more than 1 per cent, helping boost the MSCI Asia Pacific Index by 0.5 per cent. Futures contracts for the S&P 500 Index erased earlier losses to rise 0.3 per cent. Currently, the S&P 500 Index has increased by 0.11% and shows an upward trend. In addition to this, the crude oil pared gains meaning that as price rose, they fell back down after ceasefire signals.
