Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 Leaks Reveal Squircle Design, Snapdragon Wear Elite And No Classic

Official Press Of Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 Renders Show 40mm And 44mm Sizes In Silver, Graphite And Beige With New Band Design

According to 9to5Google, new renders of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 sourced from leaker OnLeaks have surfaced alongside official press images, revealing a familiar yet slightly refined smartwatch heading for a July launch.

The Watch 9 retains Samsung’s squircle design language; a circular face on a square-ish case, in 40mm and 44mm sizes. Colors confirmed so far include Cream and Graphite for the 40mm and Silver and Graphite for the 44mm, with a beige option expected on the base model. The default band introduces a subtle centre divot design, replacing the smooth band of the Watch 8.

Samsung has confirmed the Galaxy Watch 9 will run the Snapdragon Wear Elite processor and a redesigned Samsung Health app with new features including Daily Cardio Load, Heart Health Score, and updated Antioxidant and AGEs Index tracking.

On the software side, leaked renders also showcase a new watchface picker and a redesigned Samsung Health UI. Notably, there will be no Galaxy Watch 9 Classic this year.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 9 alongside the Watch Ultra 2 and three foldable phones at Galaxy Unpacked, rumoured for July 22 in London.
