According to Associated Press, the identified individual as Gannon Ken Van Dyke, is accused of earning over $400,000 by placing highly informed bets related to a U.S. military operation targeting Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
Federal prosecutors allege that the soldier exploited sensitive, non-public information obtained through his role in the operation. He now faces multiple charges, including wire fraud, theft of government information, and unlawful use of classified intelligence for personal gain.
