Windows 11 26H2 Update Arrives With Known Issues Should You Wait Before Upgrading?

Windows 11 26H2 Launches With USB Audio Failures, Domain Trust Loss, and Black Screen Bugs Microsoft Still Investigating

Microsoft has released Windows 11 26H2 ahead of schedule, but the update ships with three known issues that may give users reason to pause before upgrading. PC World

According to Microsoft’s Windows Release Health notes, the problems include USB Audio Class 1.0 device failures, where devices either fail to start or produce no sound, displaying Code 10 errors; domain trust relationship loss on domain-joined devices, and black screen or desktop loading failures in virtual desktop environments.

Critically, these issues are not new. All three were present in Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2, and Microsoft has marked them as “mitigated” without providing a confirmed fix or resolution timeline. Users with Credential Guard-protected accounts may find themselves locked out entirely after upgrading, even with valid credentials.

PCWorld recommends that users who have not yet encountered these problems hold off on installing 26H2 until Microsoft confirms the issues are fully resolved. Those already affected will likely continue experiencing the same problems post-update. The update is available now through Windows Update for eligible devices.
