Pakistan just rewrote its own record books and the numbers are impossible to ignore.
According to ProPakistani, The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan announced that April 2026 saw 4,082 new company incorporations, the highest number of monthly registrations ever recorded in Pakistan’s corporate history, bringing the total number of registered companies to 294,101.
The month also produced a new single-day record, with 340 companies registered on April 30 alone, surpassing a previous record of 300 set just three days earlier on April 27.
The growth was not limited to domestic players. Investors from 22 countries participated, with Chinese investors leading foreign interest; 95 shareholders from China registered companies with a combined paid-up capital of Rs193 million, followed by investors from the United States and the United Kingdom.
Provincially, Punjab led all regions with 2,093 new registrations, followed by Islamabad with 719, Sindh with 600 and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 325. Sector-wise, IT and e-commerce dominated with 832 new companies, followed by trading with 757 and services with 490.
SECP Chairman Kabir Ahmed Sidhu described the milestone as a positive move toward a more documented economy and a direct reflection of improving confidence in Pakistan’s corporate sector.
