Pakistan Cricket Team’s Fakhar Zaman Has Been Charged With Ball Tampering During HBL PSL 11 Match Between Lahore Qalandars And Karachi Kings
According to Al Jazeera, Fakhar Zaman has been charged with ball tampering by the Pakistan Cricket Board during HBL PSL 11 match that was played yesterday between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings.
In an incident during the final over, the ball was passed around between Fakhar Zaman and Haris Rauf which was then followed by a lengthy discussion. Upon Umpire’s review, the ball was declared altered as its conditions had been changed and seemingly tampered with.
What followed was pure chaos as Umpires awarded Karachi Kings, five penalty runs, ultimately deciding the fate of the match in Karachi King’s favour.
According to the PCB, Fakhar Zaman has denied the charges levelled against him for ball tampering. Another hearing is set to take place within 48 hours in which the verdict will be given.
