According to Al Jazeera, Iran fired a barrage of missiles at US forces stationed in Jordan on July 29, 2026, shattering a five-day pause in fighting that had fuelled cautious optimism about a ceasefire framework taking hold. The US military confirmed it successfully intercepted the missile barrage.
