March 26 2026: Government Of Pakistan To Launch Mobile App To Manage Fuel Quotas For Small Vehicles

Government Of Pakistan To Launch Mobile App That Manages Fuel Quotas For Small Vehicles Of Up To 800cc

According to Business Recorder, Government Of Pakistan has announced that it has finalized its mobile app which will launch with the intended purpose to manage fuel quotas for small vehicles. Listed vehicles include motorcycles, rickshaws and potentially small cars of up to 800cc.

The goal of this app is to provide direct subsidy to low-income drivers while using higher prices to encourage citizens to save fuel. The final quota limits are to be decided by the concerned cabinet committee.

This system is similar to previous Ramzan Package model. The app will link quotas to an individual via CNIC and registration number. For instance, a 20 litre quota voucher will be generated.

Retailers at Petrol Stations will scan the voucher and dispense the amount accordingly. If the individual requests anything more than the quota, this request will be denied and the approved amount will be dispensed, hence limiting fuel allowances in an effort to conserve fuel.

The scheme to launch a free mobile app that tracks fuel quotas for every individual driver is in line with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s announcement of ‘Austerity Measures‘ aimed at mitigating ongoing fuel crisis since early March.
