Effective From Today, Government Increases Kerosene Prices By Rs 4.66 Per Litre As It Settles At Rs 433.40
As of March 28 2026, Government of Pakistan has hiked up Kerosene prices by Rs 4.66 per litre as it settles to Rs 433.40 per litre. On the other hand, Petrol and Diesel prices remain unchanged with Rs 321.17 and Rs 335.86 per litre respectively.
Previously, Kerosene prices had surged up to Rs 428.74 on March 21 which was a monumental increase. This time however, the increase has been relatively negligible.
Yesterday, PM Shehbaz Sharif addressed the nation and stated that he had rejected the summary to raise petrol by Rs 95 per litre and diesel by Rs 203 per litre, keeping the prices of both fuels unchanged for now, despite global surges. This proves that despite the price hikes, fuel prices remain artificially fixed to provide relief to the common citizen.
The headache surrounding fuel price revisions and allowances came into effect after PM Shehbaz Sharif’s announcement of ‘Austerity Measures‘ on March 9 2026 in order to curb the fuel shortage crisis due to the ongoing Iranian Conflict.
