Qatar Airways: The Nine-Time Skytrax World’s Best Airline Has Rebuilt Its Network From Over 60 Destinations In March 2026 To More Than 160 Today, Backed By An 84.42% On-Time Performance Rating In 2025 And The World’s First And Largest Starlink-Equipped Widebody Fleet Offering Up To 500 Mbps Wi-Fi
According to The Peninsula Qatar, Qatar Airways is steadily expanding its global reach to more than 160 gateways this summer, returning to 26 destinations across key markets starting today. The airline, named World’s Best Airline by Skytrax for the ninth time in 2025, resumed operations from March 2026 to over 60 destinations before gradually rebuilding its network through the summer season.
The expansion spans four continents. In Africa, the airline returns to Kigali, Seychelles and Marrakesh, alongside the previously announced Port Sudan route launching July 2.
In the Americas, Qatar Airways reinstates Caracas and Bogotá from July 22 and Philadelphia from August 1, while increasing Boston service from four to seven weekly flights to support FIFA World Cup fan travel.
Additional World Cup host cities Los Angeles, Miami and San Francisco all see increased weekly frequencies. New Asia Pacific and European returns include Auckland, Osaka, Tokyo Haneda, Brussels, Lisbon and Oslo.
The airline delivered 84.42% on-time performance in 2025, earning Cirium’s Platinum Award for Operational Excellence. More than 140 aircraft are equipped with Starlink, making Qatar Airways operator of the world’s first and largest Starlink-equipped widebody fleet, offering Wi-Fi speeds up to 500 Mbps across Premium and Economy cabins via its Hamad International Airport hub.
