Sharia Compliant Mutual Funds In Pakistan Grow To Over Rs 2 Trillion In Total Assets By February Of 2026. This Is An Increase Since Last Year’s Rs 1.7 Trillion
According to Pro Pakistani, Pakistan experienced a significant growth in Sharia Compliant Mutual Funds. This year by February, Sharia Compliant Mutual Funds grew to over Rs 2 Trillion for the first time ever.
Since the end of 2024, these Mutual Funds crossed the Rs 1 Trillion mark. This shows that over the three years, there has been consistent growth in Islamic Investment products.
To better explain this consistent growth, analysts have stated that “investors seeking relatively stable and moderate returns are increasingly choosing mutual funds as a preferred avenue for savings and investment”.
The overall mutual fund industry comprised of 24 asset management companies which contributed to a total of Rs 4.35 Trillion in assets. Within the total assets, conventional funds accounted for Rs 2.25 Trillion while the Sharia Compliant Mutual funds accounted for Rs 2.1 Trillion.
