Shawwal Moon Sighting Meeting To Be Held Today: Ruet-e-Hilal Committee To Decide Eid Date
The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee’s Shawwal Moon sighting meeting is to be chaired today by Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad at the Kohsar Block of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. In addition to the participation of committee members, a member of the Pakistan Meteorological Department will also participate.
As always, the central committee will announce final decision based on testimonies from zonal committees across the country.
In a recent development, the Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) has predicted that the Moon is unlikely to be sighted today as Pakistan may observe the complete 30 days of Ramadan.
