A $24-Per-Ounce Slide On The International Market Has Translated Directly Into Relief For Pakistani Buyers Preparing For The Festival Of Sacrifice As 24-Karat Tola Falls Rs. 2,400 To Rs. 475,362.
According to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association and reported by ARY News and The Express Tribune, gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a major decline on Tuesday as rates dropped across all categories following a fall in international market prices. The decrease comes just days before Eid ul Adha celebrations begin across the country.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs. 2,400, settling at Rs. 475,362. The price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams dropped by Rs. 2,057 to reach Rs. 407,546. The international gold market recorded a parallel decline of $24 per ounce amid mild selling pressure in global trading. The latest rates are based on interbank exchange values and officially certified by the association.
The timing matters. Demand traditionally rises ahead of Eid as households purchase jewellery and gold-based gifts. A drop of this size in the days before the festival gives buyers a narrow window before sentiment turns back. With international bullion remaining volatile on geopolitical and currency-driven swings, local rates are expected to track every move on the global tape.
