Ferrari-Designed Exterior, In-House Turing AI Chip and 1,330 km EREV Range Make the Mona L03 the Most Tech-Dense Affordable SUV Launched in China This Year
According to CarNewsChina, Xpeng officially opened pre-sales for the Mona L03 on July 2, 2026; the first SUV from its Mona sub-brand, with six configurations priced between 143,800 yuan ($21,100) and 165,800 yuan ($24,400). The official launch is set for July 16.
The L03 is designed by a global team led by former Ferrari exterior design chief Juanma Lopez. At 4,650 mm long with a 2,850 mm wheelbase, it achieves a drag coefficient of just 0.228 through 22 aerodynamic refinements, extending range by up to 59.3 km.
Inside, Xpeng’s proprietary Turing AI chip delivers 1,500 TOPS of computing power, supporting second-generation Vision-Language-Action assisted driving. The cabin pairs a 15.6-inch 2.5K touchscreen with a 26.8-inch W-HUD, 20-speaker 1,000W audio, 14-point massage zero-gravity seats, 256-colour ambient lighting, and 40 storage compartments including a 539L boot.
The EREV version offers a total range of 1,330 km on a single charge plus tank. The pure BEV tops out at 625 km CLTC on the larger 69 kWh pack, hitting 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds.
